About a month ago, my parents invited us to their setting apart with Elder Oaks in Salt Lake. As we told McKay he would get to meet Elder Oaks we showed him the picture in the Ensign of Elder Oaks. He said, "No, I want to meet him" and pointed to President Monson. Everytime we talked about going to Salt Lake he would say he was going to meet President Monson. Well his little prayer was answered. As we were waiting to go meet Elder Oaks the security guard in the waiting room told us Pres. Monson was going to be passing in the window behind him. We watched and saw him. McKay's face lit up. Several people went over to meet him but we just stayed and watched for a bit. Slowly we scooted closer and closer until Pres. Monson saw us and called out, "Who's this handsome little man?" and called McKay over. We introduced ourselves and shook hands. He talked to Brooklyn and McKay for a minute and even wiggled his ears for them! They were both so excited. His security guard was getting impatient so we stepped back so they could continue on in their little golf cart. It was a neat experience and one I hope McKay will never forget. As everyone was flocking to President Monson, President Uchtdorf snuck out the other door, smiled waved, and gave us thumbs up. I think he planned his timing so he could sneak out quickly while everyone was distracted with the prophet! I wish I could have gotten a picture, but the memories will have to do. We did go up and meet with Elder Oaks and Elder Maines of the the Seventy for a special meeting. What a sweet spirit they had and a neat experience to have has a family. As we were leaving, we met Elder Perry. He said McKay was a "Firey young man who will be a great missionary." It was a neat afternoon!

That is such a neat story about McKay wanting to see Pres. Monson. His prayer was answered. What a neat experience. You'll have to tell him that story forever so he never forgets.
