Zoo Day

We are enjoying a week of "summer" vacation- compared to Wyoming, Utah feels like summer!  We've enjoyed playing outside, working in the yards, and just being with family.  Yesterday we took McKay to the zoo with his Wright cousins.  It was a really fun day!  The forcast said it was supposed to be hot so we were a little worried but it wasn't bad at all.  There was a light breeze, kind of overcast and even sprinkled on us a little- so it was perfect to spend the day outside.  McKay picked up every stick along the way and tried to swordfight everyone around, was extremelly impressed with any water feature or pond around, and was mildly interested in the animals...we decided we should start saving and plan a trip to Sea World- he'd jump right in the water I bet!  Here are some pictures of our Zoo adventure (and a few other random pictures).

This summer Hogle Zoo is doing a special dinosaur exhibit.  All throughout the zoo are these life-size dinosaurs that move their heads, growl, and one even spits water at you.  McKay wasn't so sure of them at first but by the end of the day they were his favorite.

We had a fun day and a nice relaxing week.  Matt has to get on with schoolwork now but McKay and I get to play a little longer before life gets back to normal again.  Yah for summer!
