Happy Birthday McKay!

McKay turned 4 in April.   He got a birthday package from the Pendletons a few days early and it was killing him seeing it everyday knowing it was a present for him and he couldn't open it yet.  Here he is so happy that he finally gets to open his package!
The much anticipated package!

drumroll... his very own Captain America shirt and a watch!  Well worth the wait!

Showing off his presents- Swords, lunch box, and Peru shirt

Logan playing with Aunt Adrian

Matt had to work late and got home after McKay had gone to bed the night before his birthday, but Logan was a stinker and was still up.  Matt brought home a helium balloon for McKay's birthday and Logan LOVED it.  We've had balloons before but Logan had never had a helium one- he was in awe. (and refused to go to bed with a balloon in the room!)

The next morning (McKay's birthday) he loved the balloon too.  They are so happy and easy to please!

McKay wanted to go to the park on a picnic for his birthday so we set off.  Here is Logan on the playground.

and the birthday boy on his favorite dinosaur playground

our little picnic

Matt always does a treasure hunt to find the birthday presents.  Here is McKay finding the clues.

Logan gave McKay dinosaurs for his birthday- they have been a hit! (and a much needed break from super heroes!)

McKay on his new bike.  He doesn't really enjoy riding bikes but we are trying to teach him.  He is more of a dirt and bugs boy.  He is like his Mommy- he would much rather run than ride a bike.

But the bike wasn't a complete waste- Logan loves it!!  They couldn't be more opposites!

Happy 4th Birthday McKay!  We love you and can't imagine what we would do without you.  McKay has got the best imagination and is always telling stories or singing his little songs he makes up.  He loves superheroes, playing Wii with Daddy, reading stories, and dinosaurs.  He is still pretty shy around others but has come a long way in the past year.  He loves Sunbeams and Primary, but still wants to go back to nursery because then he "could just play toys with Logan and eat snacks" he tells me every Sunday.  He is one silly kid and so smart.  He can remember the tiniest details and never lets me forget anything.  I love him and am so grateful for all he does for me.
